Sowing,

For best results sow in the autumn. This allows the seedlings to become established while the grass is slowing down. A spring sowing is fine, the earlier the better and there may be more chance of dry conditions which may effect seedling survival rates. for this reason we include corn field annuals to provide a nurse crop for the more tender native perennials.

Cut (and remove) grass very short spread seed 0.5g/m2 and lightly scarify into top soil. It is some time a good idea to save a small amount of seed to spread in the spring especially if its on a steep slope  or there is a chance that mice may feed on the seed.
