Pignut, 0.5grams, 250 seeds

£3.00

Pignut grows best in pastures or woodland and prefers slightly damp soil. It is one of the first flowering plants and has set seed by July. It dies back and leaves a small nut like tuber under the ground that is favored buy badgers (and pigs). This seed is best sown as part of an autumn sowing as it needs to chill out for a while to break its dormancy. Viability is good so if it does not germinate in the first year it may be so later on.
