A fine grass that gives a soft feel to a meadow, looking like mist and changing colour from black-purple to silver over the Summer. It's a late grass and is best seen in July-September. It can be a little slow to establish, but once growing it is very hardy, drought tollerant, and will withstand lots of traffic, drought and frosts.
Prefers a sunny spot on acidic soils.
This grass creeps and is very fine and is valued for fine lawns and greens often only a small quantity of seed is needed.
